After the visit
Cold sensitivity is possible and eases for most people within days

Teeth whitening at Smile Makers in Jeddah lightens the shade of enamel, in the clinic or with trays you use at home. Whitening does not change the color of fillings or crowns. Results differ from person to person, and coffee, tea, and smoking stain the teeth again.

Teeth whitening is a gel placed on enamel to lighten its shade. At Smile Makers in Jeddah that can happen in the chair, or with trays you take home and use from a written sheet. Both work on the color of enamel.
People look up teeth whitening in Jeddah before an event, or after years of tea and coffee. The reason matters because it changes the starting point.
Surface stain is one thing. Color inside the tooth is another. Tartar comes off in a cleaning. A chipped edge belongs on the veneer page.
The gels people mean are peroxides, including hydrogen peroxide. The strength is chosen at the visit. We do not publish a percentage here, because the gums and any existing sensitivity change what is reasonable.
Whitening does not change the color of fillings, crowns, or shells. Enamel around them may lighten, so the edge of a filling shows more clearly in photos. If that bothers you after the shade settles, the filling can be replaced in a closer color, or a veneer can be discussed. Whitening on its own does not make a crowned tooth match the tooth beside it.
One tooth that turned gray after a root canal may respond less to gel on the outside. It may need whitening from inside the tooth, or a shell on the visible face. That is decided from an image, after we see that the old treatment is quiet.
Before anyone talks about a shade, we count the front fillings that show when you talk. If there are many, you hear that before the visit. A shade you like on sound enamel may look different if the fillings stay their old color.
In the chair we protect the gums with a barrier, place the gel where we can see it, and stop if sensitivity becomes more than you can sit with. The length of that visit is not fixed on this page.
Some clinics use a light with the gel. The device we use, if we use one, is not named here.
Home trays suit someone who wants a change over days, or a later touch when tea starts to return after a clinic visit. You place the gel in the tray according to the sheet you leave with. Wear time is not taken from an ad.
Is the tray built on an impression of your teeth, or is it a ready size? You hear that before you leave. This paragraph does not settle it.
Pharmacy products are sold in shops. We do not name the boxes or rank them. The exam here is what keeps gel off decay and off gums that are bleeding.
It suits stain on the enamel from coffee, tea, and smoking, when the enamel is sound and the gums are quiet. It suits someone who accepts that the result differs, and that a shade in an ad may not be their shade in Jeddah sun.
It is a poor fit with obvious decay or nerve pain. We close the decay first. It is a poor fit with swollen gums, because the gel can sting exposed tissue.
During pregnancy and breastfeeding we postpone elective whitening. Tell us when you book, so a time is not set and then cancelled in the chair.
Old bands inside a tooth, from a childhood medicine or from a knock, can stay visible even if the enamel around them lightens. Primary teeth are outside this service. A teenager is seen in the chair, because the nerve space is wider and sensitivity is closer, and we may wait.
Sensitivity is possible. You may feel cold, or a short zing, especially if roots are exposed or cold drinks already bother you. That eases for most people within days.
A throbbing pain in one tooth is something we want to see. We do not cover it with another visit the next day.
A zing does not mean the enamel has been lost. The nerve feels cold when the layer is thin or a root is exposed. We stop if the pain rises. The visit can continue another day, or stop at a calmer shade you can live with.
If you already know you are sensitive, say so before the gel is opened. We may shorten the time, wait, or start more gently. Discomfort can happen. We judge it while you are in the chair.
Some people feel a zing from home trays when wear runs past the sheet. Go back to the written time. Do not make up a missed day by doubling the wear in one night.
We do not write a number of months for every mouth. Coffee, tea, and smoking bring stain back onto the enamel. Shisha does that too. Ceramic and crowns do not take up color the same way, so the difference between them and the tooth can show again even if the match pleased you in the first week.
The shade differs because enamel thickness, the kind of stain, and the starting color are not the same for everyone who sits in the clinic chair in Jeddah. One person lightens a little. Another lightens more. We do not promise a shade from the guide before the exam.
Under clinic light the shade looks brighter than it does when you walk at noon in Jeddah. We look at the tooth under the clinic lights, then near a window when we can. A close flash photo is not the judge. If you have an actor's white in mind, say so, and we will say whether your enamel can move toward it.
We check decay, the gums, and the fillings that show in the smile. If tartar is covering the enamel, cleaning comes first so the gel reaches the tooth. Sometimes a polish is enough.
Sometimes you need a full cleaning at an earlier visit. If the tartar is heavy, we do not describe a deep cleaning and the gel as one appointment.
A photo from a restaurant is not enough to choose a shade. The lip in a laugh covers what shows when you speak. We stop the visit if sensitivity rises, and continue another day if a reasonable goal remains and the gums are not irritated.
Tell us about pregnancy, about sensitivity you already have, and about any front crown whose color you do not want as a surprise. Those three points save a visit from starting over.
In the first days, keep coffee and tea from sitting on the teeth. Drink them in a shorter sitting, and brush without scrubbing the gums. Smoking and shisha in these days stain the surface the gel has started to lighten. That is a description of stain.
A very cold drink can wake sensitivity. If you need cold water, take it slowly. A pharmacy toothpaste labeled as whitening, used on top of a clinic visit, can increase the zing. Ask us before you combine two products in the same week.
Lipstick does not soak into the tooth, so we do not forbid it for that reason. What matters is what sits on the enamel for a long time: strong tea, Arabic coffee, and smoke. Rinse with water afterward if a brush is not nearby.
The price is not published here. What changes the fee is a chair visit, home trays, or both together. Cleaning is added if it is needed, and so is a filling or a root canal if the exam finds decay. Ask what the figure includes, and whether a home tray is inside it if an offer is on the offers page.
Two photos of a shade are not a quote. How many teeth show, the state of the gums, and front crowns are three things seen with the eye before a figure.
Whitening one tooth from the inside after a root canal, if it is needed, is a different procedure from whitening the enamel of the smile. We do not fold it into the figure before we have seen it. If front crowns already cover most of the smile, a conversation about shells can be clearer than repeating gel on enamel that barely shows between the ceramic.
You can ask to split whitening with Tabby. Approval is not the clinic's decision. Tabby reviews the application and may approve it, approve part of it, or decline it. Instalments do not change the gel or the way the gums are protected.
If the application is declined, you and reception agree how to pay, or you delay the cosmetic part when nothing is painfully decayed. Closing decay is not tied to instalment approval.
Book with your name, mobile number, and teeth whitening. You do not pick a clock time on the site. Reception calls during opening hours.
The clinic WhatsApp is 055 117 0327. Write your question if you like: front fillings, sensitivity to cold, and daily coffee.

01
We look at the enamel, the gums, and the fillings and crowns that show in the smile.
02
We remove tartar or polish the surface if it is covering the enamel before the gel.
03
In the chair we protect the gums, place the gel, and watch for sensitivity.
04
If the plan is at home, you leave with a tray and a sheet that states the wear time.
05
Come back if a strong zing stays, or if you want to talk about a filling that did not lighten.
You can ask Tabby about instalments. Approval comes from Tabby.
A shell can last for years if the edge stays sealed and the gums stay calm. There is no single lifespan for every mouth. Ice, grinding, and using teeth as tools can shorten it. Come back if a corner chips.
Sometimes a thin layer of enamel is removed so the shell does not stick out. Some teeth need little or none. The dentist decides tooth by tooth after seeing the enamel and the bite. A no-prep line is not a promise for every mouth.
A veneer is a shell on one tooth or a few. A Hollywood smile usually means the front teeth that show together, so one tooth does not turn lighter than its neighbors. The exam sets the number, not the service name.
The shade is compared with your skin under clinic light, then checked in daylight when that is possible. A very white shade can look harsh when you talk. You see the shells at the try-in before permanent bonding.
