After placement
Cheek swelling may last a few days, then ease for most people

A dental implant is a fixture placed in the jaw bone, with a crown added after the bone heals around it. At Smile Makers in Jeddah the plan follows an x-ray, and smoking and gum disease change whether it is suitable. Healing with the bone takes months, and the result differs from person to person.

A dental implant is a fixture placed in the bone. After the bone heals around it, a crown is attached. A missing tooth is replaced from the root position. A bridge depends on shaping the neighbors.
An implant does not shape a sound tooth to fill the space.
At Smile Makers in Jeddah we start with an x-ray and a look at the gums. A phone photo explains the gap. It does not show bone density, or inflammation under the gum edge. The chair and the x-ray come before any promise about the crown.
There can be a stretch of time with no crown showing. We do not promise a fixed tooth on the same day. If a faster path exists in a particular plan, it is said after the exam, not on a public page.
Bone needs months to hold the fixture. That sentence describes healing in general. It is not the date the clinic promises you. Some plans wait until the hold is solid before the crown.
Some plans consider a temporary tooth if the gum and the bone allow it. Neither path is written here as a promise.
The fixture type is not named on this page. Metal or another material, the company, and the width stay in your file.
If bone is short, adding bone may be discussed before the fixture or with it. Whether that is done at the clinic is not answered on this page.
Smoking reduces blood flow in the gum. Bone then has a harder time holding the fixture. Smoking does not rule an implant out for every person. The effect is discussed at the exam.
Smoking less, or stopping during healing, is part of that talk.
Active gum disease delays the fixture. We calm the gums first. The gum treatment page explains the difference between a cleaning and deeper care. A fixture in bleeding gum can collect inflammation around it later.
If you are followed for blood sugar, tell the dentist. Unsteady sugar slows how the gum settles. We do not write a meal plan on this page.
It suits someone who has lost a tooth and wants a fixed replacement, when the x-ray shows enough bone. It suits someone whose neighbors are sound and who does not want them shaped for a bridge. The fixed crowns and bridges page explains a bridge when that question is still open.
Waiting comes first with inflamed gums, or with an abscess that has not been treated. A recent extraction may need time before a fixture. Sometimes the implant is discussed at the extraction visit itself. Timing comes from the x-ray and the bone.
Wanting speed, on its own, does not set the day.
Cheek swelling and a tight feeling can last for days. For most people that eases. Chew on the other side for as long as the dentist says before you leave. Do not smoke in the first days.
Clean the neighbors with a soft brush. Leave the fixture as you were told, and skip floss in the wound if you were asked to.
Call if swelling increases, or if bleeding returns and does not ease with quiet pressure. After the crown, clean around the implant the way you clean a tooth. Floss passes at the edge. New bleeding around the crown is a reason to come in.
Do not get used to it.
The price of an implant is not on this page. An offer, if there is one, lives on the offers page only. The fee changes with the number of fixtures, with an extraction or added bone if needed, and with the crown. Ask what the figure includes.
The crown may be inside it, or billed on its own. That is said in the chair.
You can ask to pay with Tabby. Approval comes from Tabby, not from the clinic. Tabby may approve the application, approve part of it, or decline it. Instalments do not change the fixture type.
They do not shorten the time the bone needs.
If the application is declined, you and reception agree how to pay. Pain or an abscess is not delayed because instalments did not go through. A crown with no infection can wait until payment is settled.
Book with your name, mobile number, and dental implants. You do not pick a clock time on the site. Reception calls during opening hours. The clinic WhatsApp is 055 117 0327.
Write down whether you smoke, and whether the tooth was extracted before, so the bone question is ready.

01
We look at the gums and take x-rays of the bone and the nearby roots.
02
The fixture is placed in the bone under local anesthetic, and the gum is closed or left as the plan says.
03
The bone is left to hold the fixture for months, and you return if swelling increases.
04
After healing, the crown is fitted and the bite and edge are checked.
You can ask Tabby about instalments. Approval comes from Tabby.
A shell can last for years if the edge stays sealed and the gums stay calm. There is no single lifespan for every mouth. Ice, grinding, and using teeth as tools can shorten it. Come back if a corner chips.
Not always. A figure for one fixture may omit the crown, grafting, imaging, or a temporary. Ask for the full plan items for your case.
Opening hours are published on the site: typically 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., and Friday from 4:00 p.m. We are not advertising “24 hours” on this page. For general medical emergencies outside hours, go to the right service, and contact us at the next opening for dental follow-up.
No. It usually means the edge is inflamed. Extra force harms. Soft and regular beats hard and rare.
